Recreating The Look of Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2016

As I was scrolling through the Pre-Fall collection, then I saw Bottega Veneta's Pre-Fall 2016 collection. I was more intrigued with one of the model's look though. As shown below, I quite like the look on this model. It's bold yet delicate, with a hint of feminine on the look.

So I decided to create a post to recreate this look, as it's totally wearable in my opinion for lunch with your loved ones, or simply dinner with your loved ones as it's suitable for night time as well, when you combine this look with a black dress or dark-colored dress.

There are three key things to achieve this look. First, as seen on the picture, the eyes is the main key in achieving this look. As the other two keys are the face which focusing on the highlighter and the lips.

To achieve the Eye Look, you will need an eye crayon or cream eyeshadow rather than eyeshadow in powder. Since you really need to intensify the color which can only be done with eye crayon or cream eyeshadow. Well, if you don't have either of them, you may use eyeshadow with wet brush to intensify the color.

The color that will be used for the eye is red copper, to be specific. Mixture of red and brown with slight hint of shimmer will be good. However, careful not to pick a color that's more to a brown than a red for this eye look.

I have found two products with rather similar color to achieve that color. First, the Colour Chameleon in Bronzed Garnet by Charlotte Tilbury. It's an eye crayon in red copper color with a hint of gold shimmer in it. Second product is Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Skorpios by Nars. The eye crayon by Nars is more soft in terms of the color compared to Charlotte Tilbury. So, if you don't feel like wearing that kind of red copper, rather want something softer, the eye crayon by Nars might be the one for you.

All you have to do just line up both your upper lashline and lower lashline with that and smudge it a bit to blend out harsh edges. Don't forget to tightline your upper lashline with black eyeliner to intensify your eyes and lashes. Top it up with your favorite mascara to bring out the lashes.

Moving on to the Lips Look, as seen on the picture, the model has nude pink with brown undertone lip color to balance out the bold eye look. I've chosen two products as well to recreate the lip look on the model here. Well, first thing first, the model's lips are quite matte, so for the finishing it depends on your preference

First lipstick that I've chosen is K.I.S.S.I.N.G in Bitch Perfect by Charlotte Tilbury. Even though this particular lipstick does not have matte finishing, still the color is perfect to recreate the look. It's even perfect for daily!

Second lipstick is Luxe Lip Color in Pale Mauve by Bobbi Brown. Compared to Charlotte Tilbury, this lipstick is slightly darker in terms of color, even though this one is quite light already in my opinion. This lipstick is more to a mauve while the Charlotte Tilbury's is more to coral side with slight brown undertone to it.

If you want to have matte lips by using these two product, you can simply dab off the excess oil off your lips with one layer of tissue, or cover your lips with tissue (separate the two layers so you only use one layer of the tissue) and tap off some powder on top of it.

Next to the finishing touch for the Face Look. It's very visible to see the highlight on the model's cheekbones. Therefore, to achieve this look, you would need to highlight the highest part of your cheek or right on your cheekbone.

First product is the Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen in Nude Radiance 01 by Burberry. This product is in pen form, and usually the pigmentation will be quite heavy compared to powder which is good if you want to create a very apparent glow on your cheekbone. Just swipe the pen directly to your cheekbone and blend it with your finger.

Second product is Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone by Becca Cosmetics. The highlight on the model has yellow tone to it, yet very sheen. So I decided to choose this shade instead of the Opal because the Moonstone is lighter and I would say perfect to recreate the look.

It's very easy to recreate this look and it's wearable, while most of the look on the runway is not that wearable. This look is perfect when you go out for lunch with your loved ones, or even dinner with your loved ones at night time.

Tell me if you have more products to recommend to achieve this particular product and your result in recreating this look! See you soon.
